Spreads the signal
1 of 1 found this helpful Let’s agree what it doesn’t do:
It won’t BOOST your Wi-Fi/internet. The Discs are REPEATERS and can only SPREAD the existing signal or what they are receiving. The individual disc range/power is low. Essentially if a node is receiving low strength signal from the router or another disc then it can only extend or repeat that signal strength.
It does take a lot a perseverance to get the nodes to connect to the base node. To get the best repeated signal from the base Wi-Fi router these discs need to be placed one every 5-6 meters - that’s a lot of very expensive discs.
I’ve set up a 5 disc wholeHome mesh network. One disc plugs into the base router and the other 4 discs are placed in the ground floor rooms. This allows for good reception in all the upstairs rooms above the discs.
