Wonderful sound, good price
I have not tested the image so far. But the sound is excellent, much better than I expected.

SoundBlaster Card X-Fi Xtreme Audio SB0460
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought this card to replace an old and defective SoundBlaster SB0550, part of my Creative X-Fi Elite Pro setup that includes an outboard console console connected with a 62 Pin AD-Link cable, the top of the line product Creative Labs issued around 2004.
Even though the SB0460 replacement drivers took me some time to install under Windows 7, I am happy with the result.
My original plan was to sell the complete Elite Pro with the SB0460, and to replace it with an USB Creative X-Fi HD, which I received around the same time through ebay, but I am not sure now.
Interestingly, my M-Audio AV32 Loudspeakers SEEM to sound better with the SB0460, a PCI card, than the USB X-Fi.
If I confirm this through more testing, it will show that sometimes new hardware is not always better than old ones. This happens rather frequently in the audio realm.

Rechargeable energizer batteries
As I bought them recently, I can't say about their lifespan. They were affordable and have a quality look. My experience with good rechargeables has shown excellent cost/benefit, not to mention less garbage being created.
