Limited - but does what it does very well
1 of 1 found this helpful Bad news first: this cannot seriously replace having keys in the band and you're unlikely to want to record with it, especially. It's not much for lead work, some settings are all-but-useless and it's difficult to control without a lot of practice. Oh, and you can't realistically move between settings mid-song.
That all sounds catastrophic for what is a fairly expensive piece of kit, but what it can do - and what it does brilliantly well - is provide that-will-do-nicely emulation for live performances where you just *have* to have that sound.
I bought it because we struggled to find a keyboard player so took matters into my own hands. It quickly became a big part of our sound, sitting behind the other guitar adding lush filler and fills in contrast to the snarling or jangly retro guitar sounds.
So despite its imperfections it's HUGE fun to play with and boasts some very respectable emulation noises. And, in any case, who seriously expects a box costing less than £200 to replace a £2,000 organ?
Whether it survives beyond the novelty I can't be sure, but so far I'm loving it.
Oh, and I don't have to deal with sniffy keyboardists talking bollocks about the limitations of the Lydian scale, or whatever the hell they think is important now.

French desert boots for the masses.
Nice. Make a sort of floppy noise when I walk.

Classic tones
0 of 1 found this helpful Expressive and tasteful. Quite stratocaster-ish in its sound. Possibly a bit underpowered for rockers, but if you're into tone this is a keeper.
