Best '60's movie ever.
I saw this when it came on tv and was mesmerized by how much it felt like I was back there. I've been never felt a movie come any where close to the feeling of being there right in the middle of it. Every thing they showed, I experienced.( Except being pregnant). The War, how it formed the narrative for the whole decade, affecting everyone and everything. I was at Lincoln MEMORIAL at 12 and heard MLK give his I have a dream speech. I was in Chicago in 1968 and got beat senseless and jailed. I marched on Washington 5 or 6 times, the last time they put us in the stadium, over 8,000 were arrested. I was at Woodstock and helped serve brown rice with Wavy Gravy and his Hog Farm. This movie, more than any I've seen shows the deep deep divisions that the War caused. I still don't think they're healed.
