Smells like creed but doesn’t last

Having owned a bottle of creed Aventus I thought I’d give this a go for day to day wear. It smells very similar to creed, but can no longer smell it after 1-2hrs. I’d maybe expect that from the pure version but not the intense that is designed to last longer.
