I never got to use it...
So very angry with myself. I knew what I was doing but still missed a micro cable attached to the original version of this cable, subsequently ripping what turned out to be the motherboard connection to this cable. Phone destroyed. But, for what it's worth, it was EXACTLY the same as the OEM and has the black plastic on the bottom, unlike some of the other knock offs. So give it a try.

Works on Mac Mini 2018
This thing is ok, as are the rest. It does as it says. In my opinion, it's twice as expensive than it needs to be. NOISY! Buy a longer thunderbolt cable and move it as far away from your work areas as you can afford in cable length.
