Transformers Beast Wars - Dinobot

Dinobot... Maximize!
Ah! The original Beast Wars Dinobot. I can honestly say there is no other figure I have a harder time reviewing. Mostly because of my feelings of nostalgia for the character in the show, and my feelings toward him as a toy. So much so that I've had to rewrite this review at least twice now because I started gushing over the character instead of reviewing the toy. That being said let's see if I can get this done right. The figure itself is good, excellent range of movement. And though it's sparse with paint apps, what paint it does have in beast mode is an accurate enough representation of the character. But then we get to robot mode. For some strange reason this particular area of Transformers decided to include a mutant variations of the head. Most of which didn't work very well. Dinobot is no exception to this. I usually pull the mutant head parts off as I feel they mar a perfectly fine figure. The head sculpt underneath is nearly perfect. True the eyes are orange instead of red, and the color of the head is actually black instead of the copper it should be, but otherwise it accurately captures the head of Dinobot. The robot mode arms are where we come to the real problem as they are his beast mode legs. This part is accurate to the show however it's not executed as well as it could be. Granted it probably was difficult to engineer the figure in a way that his beast mode legs would become his arms in robot mode. All in all this figure is good, but it's not a perfect representation of the character himself. True there are better versions of the toy in both Masterpiece and third-party variations. But as a fan of who the character was, this version of Dinobot is a welcome addition to any collection. 8/10☆ Note: "Beast Wars" Deluxe size equivalent to the current "Titans return"/"Power of the Primes" Deluxe size currently out
DHL First ship Power Rangers Magiranger Mystic Force DX MagiKing Megazord Bandai

Titan Megazord, a mystical time to be had.
Magiking or better know as the Titan Megazord here in the states, is an amazing set. Each Zord is unique in size and posability. The mystic Mermaid and Mystic Faerie are the weakest of the zords in posability, but some leeway should be given as each zord has to pull off 3 separate modes, like the Dragon and Megazord. Megazord articulation is nearly identical to most Megazords. However the leg articulation is where the Titan Megazord shines.
'95 Bandai Japan 1/65 scale Macross 7 DX VF-19 Custom Fire Valkyrie Robotech 2

Robotech Macross VF-19 Fire Valkyrie
As my first Macross Robotech Valkyrie I was impressed by the size of the figure as I wasn't expecting it to be as tall as a leader class Transformer like Starscream or Jetfire/Skyfire. The figure is sturdy and has quite a bit of diecast metal giving the figure a much-needed heft and support. As I transformed the figure from robot/Battriod mode into gerwalk mode I had someone trouble understanding what the instructions wanted me to do with the arm/wing sections as I don't speak or read Japanese. Regardless of that I figured out my own version of the gerwalk mode for this particular figure that I am satisfied with. Going from gerwalk mode into jet mode was easy enough from there. the jet mode itself is a deep luscious red, and while it may share some design features from the original VF-J1 and other similar Valkyrie designs, it's Unique enough to be worthy of adding to your collection. If I had to make any complaints it would be that I'm not exactly a fan of stickers, and as such, I wasn't too thrilled with having lightning bolt stickers on the otherwise superb head sculpt. But considering this particular toy was manufactured in 1995 by Bandai, it's a bit on the late side to be complaining about it.
