One hell of a metaphysics system
Not gonna spoil as the exact what is one hell of a reveal in the 3rd book, but the portrayal of Gods, use of magic and general feel of the fantasy world described in this book is amazing. Trudi Canavan's writing style is compelling and descriptive. The pacing of the book is good. As a lighthearted... well... fairly lighthearted fantasy adventure this trilogy is up there. It does however suffer from Auraya, funnily enough. Auraya is the main character of the series and I'm sorry, did I say character? Yeah, no. Auraya doesn't have one of those. Her pet talking rat has more of a character than she does. BUT like a Keanu Reeves film the lack of the main character having a character does work. It stops you from focusing too much on what are essentially your eyes, allowing you to more easily project yourself (Or some version of) as the hero rather than a rigourously defined character blocking you from doing so. The supporting cast and secindary characters are very well thought out and fairly rigourously defined. I'm a sucker for a good magic system and a general fan of fantasy - this has not dissapointed me yet.

Impressive quality
It's not going to win against genuinely expensive laptop cases, but it doesn't need to. It's small, making it ideal if you don't want to lug a large bag around with you and the padding does seem sufficient to protect against the normal knocks and bumps. The water resistance hasn't been tested over here yet and whilst I doubt it would hold up in a downpour I imagine it would keep the laptop dry long after the rest of your rucksack is soaked. Mostly though I'd expected cheap zips and stitching that would almost certainty need to be repaired but that doesn't seem to be the case. The bag appears to be of a genuinely solid construction and I am happy to entrust it with the safety of my laptop.
