lightweight, durable and rugged
product is good but could be manufactured better.
This product DB 171 is flush mount (mounted inside the wall). Because of the amount of cabling that goes into the box, it would make sense for manufacturer to produce boxes with more depth (e.g 60/65mm depth).
The knock out holes for pipes are great however making an optional lager rectangular knock out would be better that way one would not have to be cutting larger holes with angle grinder to take more pipes.

long life
this product is great and the batteries have a very long shelf life and know to still pack good charge even years after the shelf life. I bought one in 2010 and only just changed the battery in after 7years (though product was never used during the 7year period)

Item is under-described. it better that said
Product is by far better that its description. A key element its compact design (fits into the face of a regular wrist watch) that's how small it is.
one other great feature not described is that the power pack that it comes with is universal (Input voltage is 100Volts - 240volts). this means it can not only be used in America but all over the world without any need for a transformer.
the performance of the product is quite great too. I have it set up for my decoder which is two walls (two rooms and 9meters away) and it still works as if the decoder is in the same room. Amazing!
