Excellent in bridge mode

I was looking for a good ADSL modem to work in the bridge mode. Previous modem, D-Link DSL-320B, was not keeping the link stable enough - it was one or two disconnects daily. ZyXEL VMG1312-B10A does this job much better. Tweaking the target SNR works - I was able tune the line. SNMP agent on the box allowed me to get the line stats directly from SNMP instead of scripting the ssh connectivity. Overall - very good ADSL modem! Can't rate its routing and WiFI though, as I've switched them off - I'm using another box for that.

Best car holder for Xperia smartphones

It was quite hard to find a car holder for my new Sony Xperia Z5 Compact - all the usual places where the car mount holds the phone were occupied by buttons: power button, volume buttons, camera button. It turned out that the only way was to get a three-point car holder. I initially ordered quite an inexpensive one, but it turned out to vibrate a lot. I tried Celicious holder designed specifically for Z5 Compact - but it didn't fit into my car - it was unable to hold the phone vertically in portrait orientation. So I gave Griffin holder a try - and I didn't regret it a single second. Very sturdy and easy to use holder, no vibration. Would highly recommend to any Z5 Compact owner.
