Watch the fan!!!
2 of 2 found this helpful Got one of these just over a year ago for a work computer, and it did great! I periodically clean the computers at work, and when I opened up the PC with this cooler today (I'd cleaned it a few times before, so no major dust buildup), I found the fan had completely stopped because at some point, it had STARTED ON FIRE!! Fortunately, nothing else was damaged, and the heatsink was able to keep the GPU cooled enough passively. Threw out the burned fan, strapped a case fan to the heatsink, and all is well.
It really is a good heatsink, but keep an eye on that fan! Things could've been much worse.
