KiWiBiRD USB 3.0 (3.1 Gen 1) Super-Speed Card Reader for TF, Micro SD, Micro SDX

ALMOST PERFECT

Fed up of putting the microSD card into an SD adapter - to then put into the back of my iMac - this is just what I needed. I have this plugged into a USB3 Startech HDD bay, meaning it's now within easy reach. But... Sometimes I put a card in it and nothing is detected on the Mac. When I pull the reader (not the card) out of the slot and back in again, it then reads. It didn't read the card just now, so I tried putting a little pressure on the reader - to make sure the USB connection was good - re-inserted the micro card, and it detected it! Never had any problems with the Startech's USB slot before, so not sure if the reader's internal connections may be less than perfect. That said, once the connection is made it stays put!

QUARTER OF A TON!

Love that this goes up to a quarter of a ton!!! (God only knows who weighs this much!!!) I bought this to weigh 'stuff' - that may or may not look like a motorbike! :-) When a mate saw it and heard how much it can hold, he said it wasn't the capacity that was impressive, but that the glass could take that much!!! Oh, and great that you can just stand on it when off and it fires up and reads the weight. Normally you have to touch/press them to wake up; wait for it to 'zero'; then stand on, not this one!
