Problem Solved
Stored motorhome was becoming a nest of critters, and they all ended up dead the first night I used this trap next to the couch with some Jif spread on the end. Four of them were in the water the next day. Problem solved. No odors, no mess. Seems like there is no limit to how many it can get in a day. Will be getting several more for inside the greenhouse.

Works, looks good
2 of 9 found this helpful The unit works for its intended purpose and is like an IR flashlight bolted to an IR sensitive 3x scope. In total darkness the ground in front will be much brighter than the hillside a hundred yards away, but some animals eyes reflect the IR like in normal light so they are very easy to see. In moonlight the scope seems to work better without the illuminator turned on and makes a huge improvement over a bare scope. The pinhole cover is great for sighting in the scope in daylight, but the image is a bit grainy so if you have a small target it will barely be visible. Still possible to get it dialed in as the sun is setting and be ready for night predators. Overall this unit adds night utility to any rifle and is a lot better than nothing, and it is compatible with the standard AR rail so swapping the iron sights back on for day use takes about 30 seconds. A second illuminator helps it too.

Boxy but good
I have two 60A units downstream of 8 100W grape solar panels feeding four 200AH 12V batteries wired in series / parallel for 24V into the inverter. One controller would handle this but I bought two for redundancy, and so far the system has produced trouble free power. On perfect days I'm seeing 140W from the panels through these controllers when I'm running large appliances. Compared to the old school PWM controller from my wind turbine these are like cadillacs. 100% satisfied.
