Chopped the connectors off
Not a bad source of tough cable. I chopped the ends off and used the cable in a tether on a science exhibit. Don't know how long it will last, but looks good

Seems like a decent sewing machine that ...
Seems like a decent sewing machine that works on heavy fabrics. No bells or whistles but it works well. Only potential issue is that it isn't earthed (as built), which given that it is a large lump of aluminium it really really should be. It is not that hard to do with appropriate tools, which I did, but could potentially be an issue.
