quite a weak spring on this item. think that if it did go off, then the rat might not have too much trouble escaping.

Too small, and very inflexible.

My hands are too big to fit in comfortably. The material is very thick, and inflexible, but once they are on, they are heat resistant. Should come in different sizes. As they are, I would not recommend.
