Brand New Jetway NF9W-2930 Industrial Motherboard, Celeron N2930, Cables inc

Nice little board. Great value.
I bought this board to replace a fanless 32 bit Atom board in my home server. Appears to be working fine with the memory I purchased from my usual preferred supplier. I don't like the SATA power cables as supplied, however with a few minutes work with my little milling machine I removed most of the locking ramp plastic from the back of a standard Molex KK housing which now fits onto the on board SATA power outlet, chopped off the wires to one of the hard drive power plugs and re-terminated to the KK housing so now have a single neat and tidy four wire cable. Please note that if installing Ubuntu Server with this board, the OS appears to not provide a console display via the DVI socket which caused me much puzzlement and consternation for some time. When installing, be sure to select ssh-server for installation! I then logged in to my router to find the assigned address and used ssh via my network to get in. See the Ubuntu documentation to fix the IP address then all works as normal.

New rear fog lamps
I bought these because the rear fog lamp units on my 4th generation 1991 Honda Civic have had water and/or salt inside (it has been driven through a lot of flood water) and the reflectors and lamp sockets have rotted. So far I have a stripboard prototype panel with 32 LEDs, running at 15mA, supplied from an automotive rated LM317 regulator. All of the LEDs I've taken from the packet are working and putting out plenty of light. Today I've been working on modifying the car to take the new LED panel which I hope will be installed and operating in a few days.
3-Prong LED Compatible Turn Signal Flasher Relay EF34L, Three Pin Square, 12 Amp

LED indicators now installed in my 1991 Civic!
I'd been wanting for ages to replace the filament indicator bulbs in my early 1991, 4th generation, Honda Civic GL, the hatchback one with the 1396CC engine and twin carburetors, without messing around with the wiring loom i.e. adding load resistors. All of the potentially suitable units available from UK eBay suppliers have a 30mm square case which I do not think would fit the socket in the fuse panel of my car. The original Omron/Honda part has a 26mm square case which the EF34L matches. I used a multimeter to take voltage and resistance measurements of the socket on my car and decided that this flasher unit looked compatible. Fortunately I placed my order just in time for it to pass through the Houston mail centre before the hurricane hit, and installed it in my car after getting a new MOT certificate. The filament bulbs worked just the same. I replaced them all with LED lamps a few days later, which are working just fine. The EF34L makes a nice audible clicking sound just like the original. Very pleased indeed with the result.
