Doesn't work on 2010 Fiat Bravo

I bought this due to an intermittent brake sensor fault to save a visit to my mechanic every few months to clear the fault. After half an hour of fiddling with the plug to get it to connect eventually I thought success! But no, despite the fault being present and the vehicle in limp mode, it just comes up with "no codes". Tried the VIN function and it wont read that either so I can only assume it is not compatible with my car.
