Great, though a little customization helps
The mount is excellent, you won't be disappointed. Unlike other bulky generic mounts, it's sleek aluminum and designed for your specific projector model. I'm very happy with my purchase.
That said, I found two ways to improve the mount:
1) Move the arm's attachment point on the mounting plate to the center of gravity of the projector.
Out of the box, the projector was not hanging from it's center of gravity, and therefore was constantly trying to tilt upward. It was difficult to tighten the arms enough to stop this from happening.
I located the center of gravity, drilled a new hole in the mounting plate, and reattached the arm there. It was only about 3/4" away from the original hole. The projector is now balanced, and doesn't require as much tightening to stay in place.
2) Replace the nylon washers with larger diameter ones.
Even when fully tightened down, the mount was not as rigid as I'd expected. Replacing the nylon washers with larger diameter ones seemed to increase the rigidity.
Those customizations were pretty easy, and neither of them were absolutely necessary. The mount is still good out of the box. Plus you can't beat their exchange policy. I recommend this product.
