Don't buy this if you have a square tap
2 of 2 found this helpful Whilst the advert doesn't say so. this will not fit a square tap, so unless you have a round or oblong tap don't buy it. Two stars lost for absence of a warning. However, the service and quality were good, hence the three stars.

Easy replacement
These replace the older square detectors really easily. The back plate covers any unpainted area on the ceiling. It would perhaps have been better to have an interchangeable plug to avoid the necessity for rewiring, but a competent amateur can do the job easily.

Does what I need
0 of 1 found this helpful This is a great cover. It's light and low profile and it seems to fit as well as the original back, so hopefully it'll still be watertight. The best bit is that it is magnetic so it stays shut rather than flopping around.
