Too odd to be hilarious. A film for comedy historians... and the curious.
Almost the entire cast of this film are now sadly... deceased. The great comics that I vaguely recall from my childhood were recruited for this comedy spoof, many of whom were already in the autumn of their careers (and beyond) at the time of filming.
Despite Pete and Dud being the headline stars, this film is a bit of a strange affair and generally unfunny for the most part. It looks rather dated now, but it's still worth a look if only for the scene in which Dudley Moore is saturated by a urinating pooch (you will laugh, I promise).
Denholm Elliott, Terry Thomas, Kenneth Williams, Irene Handl and Max Wall do their best to lift this film, but all in all everything falls a bit flat.
The Hound Of The Baskervilles is an oddity. Even diehard fans of Peter Cook and Dudley Moore will find this a slightly grim and haunting 85 minutes. One viewing will be enough... and then we can let sleeping dogs lie.

Perfect for the Fuji X-E1
Inexpensive and works well with my Fuji X-E1. It comes in two parts... the cable and the switch. It doesn't take up much room in the camera bag.
If, like me, you use a soft release button... then you probably won't want to use a mechanical shutter release cable... as that would entail removing the soft release before screwing in the cable release. This electronic shutter release plugs into the camera's USB mini connector socket at the side of the unit, so no fiddling about screwing and unscrewing.
