Old working drill rescued from the scrapheap
How many things made and bought years ago, that work perfectly today, are deemed obsolete, and you can’t get the parts for anymore? My B&D drill is one of those. Not anymore. New charger, years more life in the old drill yet. If you need one of these, get it now, while you can.

A World War I Essential Reference
For a reference written at the time and compiled soon after it cannot be beaten. There is the odd unreadable page or two, but other sources are helping to fill these in. I'm so pleased I could get a full copy through eBay.

A superb ornamental bridge
I would have given 5 stars if not for the fact that the wood is untreated. Given that this product is intended for the outdoors, treatment should be mandatory.
As is, if you want the natural wood look, apply 2 coats of yacht varnish.
Me, I wanted the Japanese look for the bridge to span a dry stream bed feature. Hence the black planks and red sides - see the photo.
So 1 coat of primer/sealer and 2 coats of high quality outdoor gloss.
Et voila! The perfect ornamental bridge.
