Needs additional work to make them operate at industry standard
PROs: Look better than stock headlight and perform a little better as is.
CONs: To make these headlights really perform, they need to run both lights on bright mode (like EVERY vehicle out there that runs two bulbs per light). Unfortunately with Ford's dumb headlight wiring and bulb choice, you get dim lows and dim highs because only one portion works in each mode. The manufacturer of this replacement light spent ZERO time developing a solution to this issue - so only one bulb per headlight works in each mode resulting in barely any better lighting than stock
Given time, I will build my own DPDT relay system so that both bulbs come on in the bright mode. That coupled with any modern brand of high-performance LED bulbs should make these actually perform. I will add details here later after completing the project (this Spring.)
I wish the manufacturer added a kit or harness for this.

Rugged and Versatile
4 of 5 found this helpful This is a great product for the $$. Haven't had a chance to see how long the LiIon batteries will operate but I'm sure it must be hours considering their capacity and how long they took to charge.
The lens assembly is all metal and allows the lens to be focused from wide angle even light to a focused square beam (shape of the CREE LED). The second click allows for a softer, less blinding light (I'm sure using less power). The third click give the high-intensity flashing that will supposedly disorient an antagonist.
Shortcomings - It's not super lightweight (metal assembly up front) but it is fairly comfortable to make up for it. The battery cover is soft, flexible and rubber-like and I am keeps moisture out during rain but I have my doubts about submersion.
This product claims 2500 lumens - I have a 1000 lumen Duracell flashlight that is a bit brighter so I am a bit dubious about 2500 lumens - but it is certainly bright enough for its intended purpose and the size/weight of the headset.

Nice and reasonably easy device that works as advertised.
0 of 1 found this helpful It eventually works. You may have to go through the process more than once to get the right sequence but eventually it sets up properly and simply works correctly. The specific download instructions for our specific vehicle were very helpful (i.e. go to the web site.)
Instead of cutting the connector or cutting wires, I used a grinder to narrow down some small finish nails, soldered wire to each (I only needed 3 wires total), and used heat shrink wrap to insulate the ends. They were then firmly inserted then electrical tape wrapped around entire assembly to ensure it stayed put. At any time, I can pull them and return the car to factory stereo if we sell the vehicle.
