Light quiet and efficient
8 of 8 found this helpful This replaced an old Dyson and is in a different league on performance and efficiency - very light to use, cleans superbly, dog hairs vanish with ease, very quiet, easy to empty and versatile with the lift off.
The LED lights are actually very useful rather than a gimmick and the cord length is more than adequate.
Only doubt is on durability but a 5 year warranty give some confidence

Probably considered entry level as it has no IPOD/MP3 connection but I don't need that.
Certainly entry level for price but quality of sound and avilabilty of features such as RDS and CD are pretty good.
Easy to use and set up with excellent installation and user manual - had it installed and operating in a few minutes - tuning the presets is fairly intuitive.
Performance in a poor signal area is particularly good compared with the original car radio - I like the feature which shifts poor reception of a station to a better frequency automatically. This means you don't loose say Radio 2, when travelling accross the country.
The power up design means the radio display is switched on with the ignition at ACC which is a mild pain as the electric ariel cycles, I would have prefered to control this via the radios on/off switch and that is my only criticism really.
Overall a good quality product.

Dyson DC07 vacuum cleaner (refurbished)
Our old Dyson had given faithfull service for 10 years and although still working was looking a bit battered and needed replacing before it shed any more of it's casing parts.
A new Dyson was therefore the obvious choice but prices were way out of reach - what then would a refurbished model be like?
In cost terms it was found that the refurb Dyson was the equivalent of a copycat design new Dax or "supermarket special"
We chose the Dyson based on our previous good experience with the marque, over a cheap imitation and have not been disapointed - the cleaner was delivered with an as new apearance with all the less durable items such as flex, drivebelt, seals and filters etc. replaced. It performed fautlessly and has a noticably improved performance over the previous model,it even emits a pleasant odour when running. The latch type dust disposal is also a very good design improvement and the 6 months warranty is reassuring.
The only thing to criticise is that my better half says that this cleaner is noisier than the old one - I haven't noticed to be honest but then I'm not the main user - (or even a user at all, I've just been told)
So if your budget won't stretch to a new model Dyson, do consider the refurbished or repaired option as a viable alternative from the several reputable e-bay traders offering these cleaners.
The price saving on new is approximatly 70% incidentally.
