Happy with results
Excellent detail. Care needed removing delicate parts from spruce. Plastic should be stronger for masts. A fast setting glue required for etched parts, which am not a fan of. A good reproduction of a Tribal class ship,..have three models of this class. Bought this kit for convertion to a WW11. J Class HMS Janus..

HMS Exeter .
A excellent detailed model of HMS Exeter which fought in Battle Of River Plate late 1939.
Care needed removing Delicate parts from Spruce s . Instructions satisfactory,,but read carefully.
I feel decals for flags should be better.. Photo etched parts for rails difficult to apply. .l did,nt bother with them...also etched part for a deck crane came apart on been formed...

Hasegawa model ship Shimakaze.
A very good model .excellent detail without been over engineered . plastic for the masts could be stronger, and not so fragile. Everything else goes together well. I liked the way hull and deck went together..
Details . Etched parts are not included. Details are given for up detailing. I am not a fan of etched parts. My preference is to make a model as it would have looked.
After working on model for ten days, it's not complete . Shimakaze was a experimental design, not preceded with ,but unique.
For those interested in Japans wartime Navy it's a good model to have...
