This one is right
5 of 5 found this helpful I bought the original trio and found it useless for a combination of poor ability to read and reproduce useful drum tracks, overly busy inappropriate bass lines and no ability to save anything if you acidentally stumbled on something you could actually use. Returned in 2 days.
The + has memory, reads consistently on the drums, has better usable bass lines, and has the added benefit of the looper. Playing more, enjoying it, a keeper, at twice the price. Only shortcoming is the drums dont sound great. My 20 year old boss drum machine sounds more realistic. Improve the drum sound quality and add swing/rockabilly genre.

When it works...
When it works, sounds great. In my stereo, it works sometimes, sometimes just reverses a few times and spits it out. Not ideal.

More than I bargained for.
1 of 1 found this helpful Plenty of power even for a big room, it is in your face. The stock pre tubes were high gain and harsh, bordering on brutal. Many would love it right out of the box for its honest, in yer face tone. I play 80% clean so I smoothed out the cleans and treble edge and added some sweetness with a swap. Will now do swing, blues and country as well with a little tweaking of the knobs. Reverb is decent, not great, but usable most of the way up the dial. Loop works well for the delay.
Crank the clean channel and you will forget about the OD channel. Sounds great cranked on the cleans.
The OD channel has a lot of gain on tap, and the el34's are a nice change from my 6L6 based amps. With the pre's I put in, it will deliver anything from a decent crunch to full on sustain. Smooth but powerful, and will get as brutal as you like. I was happy, and everyone out front told me it cut thru and rocked. Nuff sed.
Very Marshally. A lot of amp for not a lot of $.
