Great earphones, very light and a long playtime.
These earphones are great for gym use, they are waterproof upto two metres, so you can swim in them as well. the buttons take a while to get used to, but after a while you instinctively know what to press and with audible prompts, you always know what button your pressing. If you are previous generation user, you will find a different function has been added, ambient noise mode, this allows you to listen to noise around you, useful if your talking to someone, but more of a novelty otherwise. You get six sets of buds, three being for water use. The volume may change when you are in water, but generally when running or working out they sound good and last a long time with a twelve hour battery life. The battery life can be shortened though if you have ambient mode on, it can climb down to 8 hours, still its four hours better than the first generation model. The earphones can be black, blue or even green, so they can very colorful, they feel well made and easy to grip. The dock feels cheap though, but it does the job, You drag and drop music via usb, which also provides charging functionality via standard micro usb type cables. The dock is half the size of its previous model, and looks cheap, but I suppose it makes it less to carry in your rucksack. A quick charge function of 5 minutes gets you an hour for your quick trip to the the gym. A full charge can provide up to 12 hours playtime.(around one and a half hours for a full charge they indicate in the manual). The earphones also have a seek function, this replaces the previous generations next track function, but you can skip folders by double tapping now, so it becomes easy to move about folders and music. it also uses audible prompts to guide you as there is no screen on these earphones to navigate with, its all done with buttons on the earphones. Left side houses volume, ambient mode and shuffle buttons. on the right side you have on/off, play pause, next/previous track buttons. People used to screens or mp3 players or phones may find their learning curve for these earphones a little steeper, but they are well worth the time invested. Pros: Good sound, waterproof, quick charge, easy to navigate. audible prompts. Cons: People used to mp3 style players with screens/phones, may take longer to adapt to using them.
