Legacy of Cremona
A very interesting follow-up to the 1960's Ruggiero Ricci vinyl "The Glory of Cremona" on which he played real Cremonese originals on which most modern violin-making is based. Only thing lacking :- were all the violins here brand-new, of had they been round the block already ? The Scollavezza violin, for example, might have been as much as 50-years-old when the recording was made.
