Not easy to use
From what I've tried, these items will only work on short lengths of cane, and they really need to be of very similar thickness. Could be OK for low level netting over strawberries etc, but they do tend to disconnect fairly easily. They're well made, but probably need to be a lot longer.

Good to locate position, record tracks, download routes
We bought this to replace a unit which I lost. We are very pleasd with the facility to load routes, either our own or those posted by other walkers.

Very handy, and quite useful
I wouldn't say it's brilliant, but for the price, it's quite capable. I haven't had it long enough to test battery life. I'm a bit concerned that the device seems slightly flimsy when removing from the guitar, so I need to be careful. It does warn you in the 'manual' to take care on this. I've tried it on an electro-acoustic, and I need to do more trials on this.
