Good while it works

The first time I used it it worked great for about 20 rounds, then the beam became so dim I could only see it for about 2 feet away, I took it off and checked the battery and it was good. Turned it on and still dim. Cycled it on and off a few times then it started working, fired the rifle a few more times and back to dim. Due to unfavorable weather the 60 day warranty period had passed before I got to try it out. Reviews are good so I guess I got one of the bad ones.
