Good looking and practical - value is question of opinion

I bought this item definitely attracted by the design and dished 'bowl' as I had an open gully hopper and wanted to prevent leaves, moss and snails etc .The design is both practical & great. The item comes well-packaged but no clue as to origin; it is described as cast aluminium. It appears to be non-magnetic and is indeed very light but I don't dare test it with any weight. The powder coat is good new but is possibly more of a plasticised finish? - although curious i didn't wish to scrape it to discover more. I guess although aluminium has good properties it could get tarnished by some drain products/household chemicals, hence the protective covering. My application is a rain water bay gully only - not a house drain. It fitted perfectly to the 6" hopper and looks good and 'at home'.. The cost has now increased; i thought it borderline too much when i purchased at £11 so i;ve marked value down. Overall, I'm pleased atm for where i need it. It's as expected /as described so can't mark 4 star which is 'better than'.

Although it's as expected /as described I have marked 4 star for the design which is great to see people interested in style and form yet remaining true to function, so is definitely to be encouraged: too much ugliness in the 'hard' lines of production convenience and throw-away consumerist design. .

Working well 2010 Xsara Picasso 1.6i petrol

Time will tell on longevity, but i imagine this part is the original fit equipment. It replaced NGK version I found fitted to this vehicle at 120K; nothing particularly wrong with NGK, smutted up from loose plug is all, but fitted this for piece of mind and NGK is backup if required.
