The architect king: George III and the culture of the Enlightenment by David

an interesting book and revision of King George 111
A great book at avery good discount price, sadly the day after it arrived the obituary of the auther appeared in the daily Telegraph.
The book is very well researched as you would expect from an academic, and the content reveales a lot more to George 111 than the "madness" that he is remembered for. I would recomend it to any one interesed in the architectural influnce of King George 111 or the enlightenment.

Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother at Clarence House (The Royal Collection), Cornf
19 Aug, 2020
A good, well written mine of information, for Royal watchers and historians.
Any one interested in art, collecting and the Royal family will love this book, it gives a good account of how Queen Elizabeth collected the things she did, and some of their provenance too.
Well illustrated, it makes an ideal companion piece to Susan Owens book "Watercolours and Drawings from the collection of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother" And wil add something to anyone plannning to visit Clarance House when we can get bak to some sense of normal.
Well worth seeking out a copy, than goodness for ebay!
