Value for money
Having set up this planer thicknesses I found the machine easy to use. It’s a shame that the fence is so flimsy and can flex in use. Adjustment is possible but fiddly. The instruction Manuel reads as a direct translation from Chinese! The manufacturer would be better to pay someone here to write the English version.
As for use it is a bit noisy but not too bad, the finish is really good for a low cost machine. I recently processed some reclaimed roof timbers and the outcome was amazing, just watch out for nails!
I found the machine to be light enough to move but heavy enough to stay put without clamping down. The dust extraction works well but getting reducers that fit is not easy. As for value for money it is a good little machine which I hope will give good service for may years to come.
