The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer
I recently bought a DVD entitled The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer, starring Cary Grant, Myrna Loy, and Shirley Temple, with a small part played by Rudy Vallee. I think everyone over 50 loves all of these stars. It is light-hearted and innocently romantic - a welcome change from today's graphic movies. Putting the movie on while I'm working around the house makes any chore become a great excuse for watching a thoroughly entertaining movie, and transports me to my high school years when all the girls had a crush on a handsome math teacher! I have not seen this movie for sale in any form in any store, and was thrilled to find it on ebay, listed among Cary Grant's movies!

I, too, LOVE I Love You Two!
I'm an experienced quilter, but haven't done applique in a long time. Even so, I bought an applique quilt kit for my new grandson. I couldn't do it as the pieces were so small! My sister-in-law had this book, and as I skimmed through the adorable quilt patterns looking for a fresh idea, I noticed the directions for applique. PERFECT! So I hurried to eBay and am now the happy owner of this book, with clear instructions and, really, very sweet patterns!
