Written by one of the best authors I have had the pleasure to read
The book is the first in a series which is both well written and compelling. It tells the story of Irish families living in Liverpool in the fifties. All are living in slums of the post war city, trying their best to keep mind, body and soul together.
I could not put this book down and devoured it in two days. Excellent!
