Phone not switching on. And full of scratches.

The phone is not switching on. I tried charging the battery for nearly 24 hours. I even googled and watched YouTube clips on switching it on but NO, it's not working. It also has plenty of scratches despite being described as Opened but never used. I will need to return it.
