Indispensable tool
An absolute must for removing a lens element. Used it to take the front element from an old 400mm telephoto lens - fairly easy once the lens had been warmed on a radiator. Was able to clean lots of fungus from the glass and easily reassemble.
It is very flexible -- easy to adjust for different diameters and with flat or pointed probes to fit different lens retaining rings. Am now going to use it to try to repair another old lens which has come loose internally.
A very good value way of restoring unusable old equipment.

Hilarious
Bought as gift but read a few pages before wrapping - laughed out loud. Hope I can borrow it back to read more !

Rescued my VAX4000 vacuum cleaner
My VAX4000 (probably 30 years old) went up in a puff of blue smoke. I dismantled it and found the capacitor on the circuit board had pretty much exploded, though I could still read the part no: PME271M. I ordered this one as a replacement and was amazed to find it had very similar markings, in fact it was almost identical - just not exploded ! Fitted it, reassembled and the VAX is now working fine again.
