Smaller than expected - which was good

For My Purposes
2 of 2 found this helpful The machine is excellent, well made, and runs well. Bigger than expected, having a 10" cutter block. Twice the size of my last machine and takes up a fair amount of space in my garage, and is quite heavy; however it has a couple of substantial wheels which take the weight when one end is lifted so it is fairly easily moved. The outfeed table is clipped on and removes easily for separate storage. Using the chippings collector is a cumbersome procedure and it will take time and fiddling to make adjustments. It's not possible to quickly and easily change from surface planning to thicknessing when using it, so I have dispensed with mine in favour of a dustpan and brush. The assembly instructions could be written more clearly and take a lot of studying.

Use in conjunction with an online assembly programme
Not made any apps yet, but tested the system using the book. The university has altered the function of some of the modules used for assembling a circuit. The results of adding some modules is not always as described. This makes the book a little out of date and you have to work out wheat to do differently. Not too difficult. Recommend you purchase more than one book. As of 2017 the Michigan University who own the online assembly programme make it available free of charge and are in process of making another programme for use with the Apple Store.
