A good bargain, but buy a larger battery.
Actually, not a bad camcorder, particularly for the price. Image quality excellent, both photo and video. Others' remarks about difficulty of using touchscreen controls is, in my opinion, overblown. If you want manual controls, buy something different. What I really miss is a viewfinder, especially in bright sunlight. But this camcorder, like so many others in an affordable price range, doesn't have one. Some advice: buy the larger battery and a charger, though you can charge directly at the camcorder using the included power adapter. I use an external SD card, and the 8GB internal memory can hold a lot of video.

Everything is adjustable
It weighs 15 lbs and the fact that everything is adjustable makes it difficult to use, but it seems to be quite sturdy and reliable, and the image quality is good. It's a camera best suited to use on a tripod because of its weight. Very good viewfinder.

Requires use of an active adapter ($50).
Didn't realize when I bought it that connection to computers would be different from that for the Apple 23" Cinema Display. So when I hooked it up to my Mac Pro 2013 using a basic compatible connector adapter ($15), resolution was very poor. A bit of reading revealed that connection to my Mac Pro 2009 would result in native resolution, but connection to anything else required an active adapter ($50). Now, using an active adapter, the display operates at its native resolution and looks quite good.
