This is an informative, entertaining guide to understanding the nature of reality without requiring special expertise.

Still powerful!
A social bombshell upon its original release, "Nana" is still both an intriguing and insightful story of people marginalized by "proper" society. The reader will come away with an appreciation of the fact that we all are people and respond in different ways to the circumstances in which we find ourselves.

An Admirable Classic
For those who enjoy classic literature, the prose is absolutely elegant reflecting Flaubert's long labors over every word and phrase. This translation is very good, but not the best that I have read. For those searching for a better time and place, this novel is a worthy destination; for those searching for a quick perusal, look elsewhere.
