good weed book
I like this book, it has good descriptions of the plant families and the major and some minor weeds in each family presented. Although the book is more geared towards the Eastern part of the US I still found it useful in California , but be aware that you will not find many common California weeds, but I guess if it is common you really don' t need a guide to find it. Overall I like the book and will refer to it in my work as a nurseryman.

Soft steel
