quintessentially "iconic" images
Composed photographs by Pierre & Giles are unique, quintessentially "iconic" images. I have become fascinated with their stylized visions, and have been collecting as many publications of their works as I have been able to discover. Only the James Bidgood book published by Taschen is comparable in its attempt to create and capture iconic moments.

fine archival performances
It is wonderful that these ballet excerpt performances from the early days of color television have been preserved and issued in DVD. Wonderful also to have additional examples of the graceful dancing of Bruhn and the powerfully extroverted dancing of Nureyev. The video quality then was not as good as it would be today. But the thought that went into the filming could not be better. The restoration of the missing minutes of footage was masterfully done. I was very pleased to come upon these wonderful archival performances. They have high artistic merit and represent good value.
