AFV Series: WWI French Armor Colors Acrylic Paint Set - AK Interactive 4050
28 Jul, 2020
Will be as good as any other AK paints.
I probably won't get around to using it until winter as I have a few other models to build before I get to my French FT tank that will be camouflaged with these colors. I do use other AK paints and they are excellent, this will be no different.
New Vanguard series British Artillery 1914-19 Heavy Artillery by Dale Clarke SC

An informative and easy to read reference book.
I am scale modeling WW1 artillery and this has much information on that subject plus some very instructive color plates to help me determine the base colors and camouflage that was used. I just wish Vanguard also had books on 'lighter' artillery as well.
Blair Line Shotgun House - Laser-Cut Wood Kit -- N Scale Model 79 833402000794

Giving up plastic, going to wood from now on.
This is my first foray into real wooden buildings and although I am not finished it looks more realistic than the plastic ones I have built. I have primed and painted all parts and have the walls assembled at this point. It is not difficult, but is time consuming and enjoyable. I am using super glue rather than wood glue for assembly, it works well and I don't have to wait for a while for the glue to dry before going to the next step. Based on this experience, all future buildings for my N scale layout will be genuine wood. If you are considering a wooden model and haven't done it before, this small kit is ideal.
