A VERY good 'short iron' replacement
I use this hybrid #8 , to replace both my 7 and 8 irons . I shafted it
1/4 inch longer than my size 8 iron so it does indeed get the flight and distance of my 7 iron when hit full length,
and hits the same distance as my 8 iron when hit choked down about 1 inch. Impact should be down and into the ball, and a 'fat' hit, as with an
8 IRON, is almost impossible as the large hybrid sole just makes the hybrid 'slide'
into and thru the ball. Ball flight is high and landing is soft.
I have ordered an IDrive hybrid PW and will shaft it in same manner as my 8-hybrid,
1/4 inch longer than my PW (and 9 iron) so I can use it for my 9 iron and PW
distances. 2 less clubs to carry in the bag and far better shots. Excellent clubhead.

Good Pads
Pads could be made about 1/2 inch thicker but they are the ones for my humidifier and they work excellent , at least 50% more effective than old, calcium-filled pads,
judging by my much more frequent filling of the water reservoir.
