The Great Standby .
Beautiful and comprehensively illustrated classic of the Nineteenth century of European and Oriental Costume . Brief , but extremely helpful notes on the dates and fashions of the period opposite coloured illustrations . A Bible of costume designers for film and theatre.

A Great classic of the 1960s .
An extremely well written and comprehensive study of most of the Great Palaces of Europe , with beautiful photographs . More than a ' coffee table' book , it. inspired me to goe and visit them . Excellent condition and arrived within the week . Thank you . David Foster
