I'm still working my way through this book. The mapping of the way the mind works is complicated and challenging (for me at least) to understand. But it's well written and hopefully will be worth the effort.

Well written, easily understood comprehensive introduction to understanding codependency

This is a very useful book for those who are trying to understand codependency. Whereas there are a lot of references to codependents who are enabling drug or alcohol addicts, the book is broader and allows the reader to understand the sources of codependency as well as a range of behavioural and relationship outcomes. Well recommended as a starting point, most likely needs to be followed through with conversations with a trained therapist.
