Ducks prefer it
2 of 2 found this helpful 'Our' wild Mallards live on a fairly fast flowing river. After initial suspicion of this new-fangled stuff , they soon seemed to prefer it. Now, the ducks (often as many as 40 of them) fly in when they see us coming out of our house, often ignoring the people throwing in bread. We noticed last year that the goslings had no hesitation in eating the pellets as soon as they were introduced to them by mum! Although not intended for him, our neighbour's small dog will snaffle up any pellets we drop or the ducks miss!
