arrived broken due to poor packaging
I couldn't tell if it was likely to work as it was damaged beyond repair when it arrived. These plastic carbs are delicate items when not installed in a lawn mower and as such need to be packaged so that the postal system doesn't wreck them.

A great product that is now out of date and they are all getting tired
0 of 2 found this helpful This is an old piece of kit and anyone that buys one on EBay needs to understand that there are several areas where these fall apart. I was only buying this for spares for another unit so it was not necessary for it to work fully just that the DVD drive was okay.
There are a number of failed capacitors both on the main board and the power supply. These are an easy swap but there was start up issues with the hard disc that because of its age really didn't matter that much. There are heat issues on the main board too which are to do with inadequate heat sinking from new but then given its age you wouldn't expect much else and to be honest I have seen far worse! I could have put it back together but there are so many of these currently on EBay that I had done what I needed for my customer and cannibalised the PSU and the disc drive and DVD interface. These were great devices when they were new but things move on and this is out dated but for many it is still a very useful unit.

does just what it says on the tin
Purchased as a spare part to replace a customers burnt out unit this worked fine. Didn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary about it as all these things required as spares do exactly what you expect, fit the holes in the main unit correctly and sound much the same as the original.
