Thoroughly entertaining read.
Have recently begun to re-read Georgette Heyer, having read many of her novels over the years. This one has to be one of the best. It is typical of her best books, combining the clever plotting, engaging characters , witty dialogue and flavour of period life she made her trademarks.
Highly recommended to entertain in these dark times; light hearted fun.

Lighthearted look at complex matter of translating from a foreign language into English.
I picked this title up cheaply in a charity shop, but enjoyed it so much I ordered more
copies as gifts for friends.
It is organized in sections, quoting actual translations into English found in foreign locations. Anyone interested in languages would find the errors amusing, some very funny.
Excellent book to dip into. I read it cover to cover, chortling away.

Excellent value set for Bostridge fans
Very good buy for 5 top quality cds by Ian Bostridge, which would cost much more to buy individually.
My one disappointment is the lack of booklets giving text and translations of songs. However with a bit of research these can be found online in the case of well known song cycles.
