Compelling Drama That Still Packs a Punch!!
Tremendous series from the mid 1960s - Patrick Wymark was just mesmerizing as the ruthless John Wilder, trampling on his colleagues and his wife in his ambitious quest for power. The series was a sequel to "The Plane Makers" but can be viewed on it's own. Apart from Wymark, the series features a who's who of players who made their marks in discerning drama. Peter Barkworth, Barbara Murray, Rosemary Leach, Michael Jayston and George Sewell who found his own drama niche in "Special Branch". Compelling drama still as relevant today as it was over 50 years ago.

It was a lot better than I thought it would be.

Ground Breaking Show
1 of 1 found this helpful A groundbreaking show, "Scotland Yard" was actually made for cinema use as "featurettes" to be screened with main movie. Filmed in the style of "The Blue Lamp" and showing police work, they were introduced by Edgar Lustgarten and I'm amazed that even after 65 years the shows are very compelling and really draw you in. Really helps having them remastered (prints are crystal clear).
