A Sweet Alternative to Radiohead's Alternative Sound
1 of 1 found this helpful I really like the intimacy of this recording. My understanding is that it was largely recorded by Thom on his Mac. It feels like this was done in his living room. The vocals are up-close and personal, as are the drums which are very reminiscent of Kid A/Amnesiac - tight little drums (ala Packd Like Sardines, etc). Lots of surprises in the production when listening with headphones. Really excellent 1st "solo" effort, although Thom says it is anything but. K then.
